Raising funds for Border Collie Rescue

I'm doing this for Border Collie Rescue because....

These amazing dogs are so intelligent. Owners need to really appreciate the commitment required when taking on a Border Collie and the energy that they have.
These dogs need care that takes time, time, lots of time and as a recent article said, 'garden size required – Wales’. But these dogs have not altered for hundreds of years because they are..... the perfect working dog.

Border Collie Rescue takes dogs that have lost their secure future, takes the time to understand their personality and make sure they go to a home that is
right FOR THEM!!
Thank you!

  What I am doing -

Starting on 23rd July 2010

I will be walking the South Downs way with my two dogs Wocki and Swift.

In part, I am inspired to do this walk in memory of my best friend Splash

The last time I did this walk, she was with me. This time I have her daughter to remind me of her,

Splash was a remarkable dog - you can read her story here.

Most recent Update

1st August 2010 -  Day 8 of the walk

Well we had the best sort of company for a while.

A young eager mind full of high spirits..... and his little dog ‘Mr Chip’.

As we walked, we hunted for ancient spearheads and the old tools used by those who were here before us.

None were found, but finding an amazing fossil, forever held in a slice of flint, made faces smile.
