| There are many subtle rewards working with rescue animals but |
| it is always nice when your work get public recognition. |
| We were very pleased when someone nominated our own Nicki Oliver |
| as a 'Public Hero' to be featured on the New Year Channel 5 News series. |
| Nicki has dedicated her time to rescuing Border Collies since a teenager and |
| has been a mainstay in Border Collie Rescue for the last 12 years as our National Co-ordinator. |

| Our centre at York needs volunteers of all sorts 7 days a week - working with dogs and also in many other areas, including administration. |
| If you live near York, can spare a few hours and want to help rescued Border Collies contact us. |
| We also need volunteers and foster homes all over the UK. |
| Everyone in Border Collie Rescue is a volunteer - none of us are paid. |
